Ann-Katrin Berger renews with Chelsea for three more seasons and will stay in London at least until 2024 with an option of an additional year.
The 30-year-old has been a no. 1 between the post for the Blues since her arrival from Birmingham City in 2019. Prior to that, the German international played also for Paris Saint-Germain and Turbine Potsdam. Berger won the Golden Glove for the best goalkeeper in the last season, where she kept 12 clean sheets in 17 matches for the second consecutive Women’s Super League title.
“I’m really happy to stay here for longer. The players, the team and the staff, they make me a better player, so there’s no reason why I should want to go anywhere else,” added Berger.
