Arabella Suttie signs for Birmingham City

Arabella Suttie signs for Birmingham City after successful trial. She signed a one-year contract with the Blues.

The 18-year-old has spent the last five years at Chelsea academy, but could not make a breakthrough to the first team. After impressing the head coach Scott Booth, the English defender was offered a one-year deal. While playing, Suttie will combine with studying for a Chemistry degree at Birmingham University.

“I can’t wait! It will be really good to play for Blues and get some exposure in the WSL. The Head Coach said he was impressed with me and how I have gelled into the team, but also that he knows what I need to work on and how I can improve. Everyone at Blues is so nice and the girls are all friendly. There is a great atmosphere here and we are all going to fight for each other throughout the season,” said Suttie.
