Ashley Lawrence signs for Chelsea

Ashley Lawrence signs for Chelsea joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain. She signed a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old played for Canadian clubs before moving south and enrolling in college football. After graduating, the Canadian defender arrived to Europe and signed with PSG in 2017. During the six years in the French capital, Lawrence played 180 matches for the Parisians and won D1 Arkema title. On the international stage, she has over 110 caps for Canada.

“I’m really excited and grateful to be joining such a top club in England and in Europe. There are a lot of emotions, excitement and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, the rest of the players and staff, and to next season,” added Lawrence.
