Aston Villa renews with coach Carla Ward

Aston Villa renews with coach Carla Ward, who will stay in charge at least until the end of the next season.

The 39-year-old started her coaching career in 2018 after retiring in Sheffield United. In 2020, she took over Birmingham City. After the 2020/21 season, Ward resigned as City coach and moved across the city to Aston Villa’s bench. In the last edition of the Women’s Super League, she led Villa to the 9th place.
