Catarina Macario moves to Chelsea

Catarina Macario moves to Chelsea from Olympique Lyon on a three-yeard deal, until June 2026.

The 23-year-old joined Lyon in 2021 after finishing her college career in the United States at Stanford. In France, the Brazilian born striker, who represents United States on the international stage, played 33 matches and scored 23 goals. Macario, who also has 17 caps for the US national team, spent the full last season on the sidelines due to anterior cruciate ligament injury.

“I can’t wait to get started here!. I’m really happy to sign for Chelsea and I hope to represent the jersey well over the next few years,” said Macario.
