Charlotte Wardlaw extends with Chelsea

Charlotte Wardlaw extends with Chelsea and goes on loan to Liverpool for the next season. She penned a three-year deal with the Blues.

The 19-year-old has been with Chelsea Academy since she was 15. After signing the first professional contract last year, the English defender already spent last season with Liverpool, helping them secure promotion to the Women’s Super League. Wardlaw played 23 matches in the Championship.

“I’m so excited to be back. I love this club, I loved it last season, I love the girls and I love everything this club stands for. The decision was so easy – I know how everything runs, I know the girls, I know Beardy and it feels like home here,” said Wardlaw for Liverpool’s website.
