Chelsea sign Maika Hamano

Chelsea sign Maika Hamano from a Japanese side NAC Kobe Leonessa. She signed a contract until June 2027, but will spend the rest of the season on loan with Hammarby IF.

The 18-year-old has debuted on the senior level for Kobe Leonessa in her native Japan. IN the current season, the talented forward played seven matches and scored two goals. To continue her development, Chelsea sent Hamano to Sweden, where she will play for Hammarby until the end of the season.

“I am really proud to sign for a club which in my opinion is number one in the world,” said Hamano for Chelsea’s website.
