Chioma Ubogagu joins Tottenham

Chioma Ubogagu joins Tottenham Hotspurs from Real Madrid. She signed a two-year contract with the Spurs.

The 28-year-old with Nigerian roots was born in the United Kingdom, but soon moved to the United States. Growing up she studied and played at Stanford University before returning to England and signing with Arsenal. After spells with Houston Dash, Orlando Pride and Brisbane Roar, Ubogagu arrived to Spain in 2019. The forward made 11 appearances and helped Real Madrid to secure Women’s Champions League spot for the next season.

“I’m really excited to join Spurs – it’s the club my late father supported, so for me to have the opportunity to put on the shirt is special and I can’t wait to get started. The WSL has always been a league full of top-class players and I believe it becomes more competitive year after year, so it’s a league I’m really proud to return to,” said Ubogagu for the club’s website.
