Cloe Lacasse moves to Arsenal

Cloe Lacasse moves to Arsenal from a Portuguese side, SL Benfica.

The 29-year-old arrived to Europe following her college career in the States. After four years in Iceland with IBV, the Canadian forwad joined Benfica in 2019. In Lisbon, she played over 130 matches for the Eagles, winning three Portuguese titles. Lacasse debuted for the national team in 2021 and has so far played 19 matches in Canada jersey.

“I’m super excited and enthusiastic to get started here. I feel ready mentally and physically to be able to contribute here and win titles and I feel that this club has everything it takes to compete for the highest honours. I want to go to the next level and score goals here for Arsenal,” said Lacasse, who joins Amanda Ilestedt as the latest summer arrival.
