Connie Scofield joins Leicester City

Connie Scofield joins Leicester City after contract expiration with Birmingham City.

The 22-year-old has played for Birmingham her whole career after she rose through the academy ranks. The former English international in youth categories made eight appearances in the last season of the Women’s Super League. Birmingham finished on the penultimate, 11th place. The young midfielder becomes the part of Leicester City, who will play in the Women’s Super League for the first time in history.

“It’s pretty amazing really and I’m just so excited to be here. When Leicester came in, I was over the moon. It was a big decision, but it just felt right,” said Scofield for the LCFC TV.
