Danielle Carter moves to Brighton from Reading FC and signs a two-year contract with the Seagulls.

The 28-year-old spent her whole career with Arsenal before moving to Reading FC last year. With the Gunners, the occasional English international won the FA Cup three times and became English champion in 2011. In the last season, she played in 25 matches and scored four goals for the Royals. Head coach Hope Powell confirmed that this was the first time when Brighton paid a transfer fee for the female footballer.

“Fortune favours the brave, never be afraid to take on new challenges! I’m happy to announce that I have signed for Brighton, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Let’s Go!” Carter wrote on Twitter.
