Danielle Turner moves to Aston Villa

Danielle Turner moves to Aston Villa on a free transfer after contract expiration with Everton. She signed a contract until June 2024.

The 30-year-old has spent her whole career with Everton, apart from a brief spell on loan with Icelandid side Stjarnan. In total, the English full-back, who wore Toffees captain’s armband for the last five years, played over 100 matches for Everton. Turner is second summer arrival for Villa, joining Simone Magill.

“I’m really excited. Aston Villa’s a massive club and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into pre-season. It’s a big change for me having been at Everton for so long but I’m itching to get going,” said Turner.
