Daphne van Domselaar signs for Aston Villa

Daphne van Domselaar signs for Aston Villa, joining the club from a Dutch side, FC Twente. She penned a three-year contract.

The 23-year-old will play abroad for the first time in her career after spending last six seasons with Twente. The Dutch goalkeeper, who also has 13 caps for the national team, was part of the team, which won Eredivise three times. In total, van Domselaar made 78 appearances.

“Beautiful! It’s such a big club and they’re doing really well… and I can’t wait to join,” said van Domselaar in her first interview.
