Demi Stokes renews with Manchester City and will play for the club also in the next season.
The 31-year-old played for Sunderland after finishing her college career in the States. After a brief spell in Canada with Vancouver Whitecaps, the English full-back signed for City in 2015. Stokes made 199 appearances for the club, being second longest-serving player in the current squad. She was also part of the Women’s EURO winning team with the national team, for which she has 69 caps.
“Given how last season was for me personally, I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to keep doing what I love doing, and that’s playing for Manchester City,” added Stokes, who joins Steph Houghton and Khadija Shaw as the latest contract renewal.
