The 33-year-old retires as a Manchester City player, where she spent the last three years. Throughout her career, the English forward also played for Chelsea, Leeds, Arsenal, Notts County and Birmingham City. The England women’s team’s all-time record goalscorer found back of the net 52 times in 113 caps for her country. She crowned an impressive career with the EURO title recently.

“It has been my greatest honour and privilege to play this game. In particular playing for England has and always will be the greatest gift. My dreams came true on July 31, winning the Euros and becoming a European champion,” wrote White on social media.
