Emma Harries and Katelin Talbert sign for West Ham from Reading and SL Benfica, respectively.
The 21-year-old Harries played with the Royals her whole career before making a move to London. The English U-21 international forward debuted for the senior team in 2020 and played over matches for Reading. Following relegation to the Women’s Championship, Harries left the club on a free transfer.
Katelin Talbert played college football in the States before moving to Europe and joining Icelandic second divison side, Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar. Last January, the American goalkeeper signed for Benfica. The 24-year-old stood between the post 23 times for the Portuguese champions. In the upcoming season, Talbert won’t stay in London but will spend the season on loan in Sweden with Djurgårdens IF.
