Emma Hayes to leave Chelsea bench

Emma Hayes to leave Chelsea bench after the season in search for a new challenge away from the club football, the club announced today.

The 47-year-old worked with Long Island Lady Riders, Iona Gaels, Arsenal, and Chicago Red Stars before joining Chelsea in 2012. With the Blues, Hayes turned into one of the best coaches in the world, winning six Women’s Super League titles, five Women’s FA Cups, two FA Women’s League Cups. She also led the team to the Women’s Champions League final in 2020, where they were beaten by Barcelona. Emma has been named Women’s Super League Manager of the Season on six occasions.

According to some reports, Hayes is set to take over American women’s national team after the season.
