Everton sign Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir

Everton sign Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir, who will first remain on loan with KIF Örebro until January. She signed a contract until June 2024.

The 18-year-old Icelandic goalkeeper left her home country in March, when she moved to Sweden and signed with Örebro. Since then, she made four appearances for the Swedish club. Despite her youth, Rúnarsdóttir has already debuted in Icelandic national team. Currently, she has three caps on her tally.

“It’s amazing to sign for Everton. Everton is a big club and you can see with the players they are signing that they are building big. I’m just so thankful I’m going to be a part of it,” Rúnarsdóttir told evertontv.

Everton have already signed Toni Duggan, Leonie Maier, Kenza Dali, Anna Anvegård and Nathalie Björn for the next season.
