Gareth Taylor continues on City’s bench also in the next season, the club announced today.
The 50-year-old has been with the City for a long team. Initially as a coach in the youth academy, Taylor was appointed as the head coach of the women’s team in 2020. Since then, he led the team to 79 wins in 109 matches. Manchester City finished the last season of the Women’s Super League on the fourth place, missing out on the Women’s Champions League on goal difference.
“I’m very happy to be able to commit to City for another season, and 2023/24 is one that I’m so excited about. We have been in a transitional period over the past 12 months, and the women’s game has changed so much during my three years in charge,” said Taylor.
