Hanna Bennison transfers to Everton

Hanna Bennison transfers to Everton from FC Rosengard for a substantial six-figure sum. She signed a contract until June 2025.

The 18-year-old, who has been crowned as the best wonderkid according to Goal.com journalist voting, debuted at age 15 in the Swedish top flight. The talented Swedish midfielder has also already played for the Swedish national team. In the last season, Bennison made 15 appearances across all competitions. She also played in the Women’s Champions League quarter-final. Everton did not disclose the transfer fee, but it was reported that the Toffees broke their club’s record with a six-figure sum.

“It feels amazing to be here. I’m still young, I need to learn a lot, and I think this is the perfect environment for me to grow. I like the league in England and we have a very good manager in Willie Kirk. I’ve spoken to him, and the way he sees my game is the way I see myself. I know the club wants to play in the Champions League. That’s one of my goals, too, and I hope I can help the team reach that,” said Bennison for the club’s website.

Hanna Bennison is the third Swedish newcomer in Everton, joining her national teammates Anna Anvegård and Nathalie Björn.
