Hannah Hampton makes Chelsea move

Hannah Hampton makes Chelsea move following her contract expiration with Aston Villa. She signed a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old starter her senior career with Birmingham City before moving across the city and joining Aston Villa in 2021. The talented goalkeeper, who will take part in the Women’s World Cup during the summer, has already plenty of experience in the Women’s Super League. Just in the last season, Hampton stood between the posts 15 times in the English top tier.

“I’m very excited! It’s a massive club, it’s an honour to be a part of this and to be able to wear the club’s badge. I want to keep improving, to help the team however I can and I’d love to win some trophies with the club at the same time,” added Hampton, who joins Ashley Lawrence, Alejandra Bernabe, and Catarina Macario as the latest newcomer.
