Hawa Cissoko renews with West Ham United and will stay in London for two more seasons, until June 2024.
The 25-year-old grew up in Paris Saint-Germain youth academy. Seeking more playing time, she left Paris and moved to Marseille in 2017. After a brief spell at the south of France, the French defender joined Soyaux in 2018. Two years later, Cissoko went abroad for the first time in her career and signed for the Hammers. Since her arrival, she played 39 matches for West Ham, helping the team reached their best Women’s Super League finish with the 6th place. The French international joins Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and Kate Longhurst who also extended their contract recently.
“I’ve made big improvements as a player since I joined West Ham United. I have to thank my coaches, team-mates and fans for their support, I’m so happy here and can’t wait to see what next season holds,” Cissoko said.
