Hinata Miyazawa joins Manchester United

Hinata Miyazawa joins Manchester United from a Japanese side, Mynavi Sendai.

The 23-year-old played for Tokyo Verdy Beleza before joining her most recent club. The Japanese midfielder, who is regular in the national team, performed well in the recently finished Women’s World Cup, where she scored five goals and won the Golden boot award for the top goalscorer. Miyazawa agreed on a move to England, which makes it her first experience abroad.

“I am truly very happy to be part of this wonderful family and this great team. I am really looking forward to getting started and hope my style of play will excite our fans,” said Miyazawa, who joins Emma Watson, Geyse Ferreira and Gemma Evans as the latest arrival.
