Mana Iwabuchi new member of Aston Villa Women

The 27-year-old forward finally joined her teammates today after the transfer has already been announced before Christmas. Iwabuchi joins Aston Villa after playing at Nippon TV Beleza, Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich.

“She is a very technical player that thrives in tight spaces and we cannot wait to see her continue to develop at Aston Villa” – Head coach Davies

Iwabuchi, who is the captain of her national team, has over 70 senior caps and became a FIFA Women’s World Cup winner in 2011.

“We are exceptionally excited that a player of Mana’s calibre will be joining us in January.
