Jen Beattie extends Arsenal stay

Jen Beattie extends Arsenal stay for an undisclosed period. In addition to playing duties, she will also become a mentor within Arsenal academy.

The 31-year-old joined Arsenal for the first time in 2009. After four years, the Scottish defender moved to France, where she played for Montpellier. In 2015, she returned to England, signing for Manchester City. In 2019, Beattie returned to Arsenal. Throughout both spells, she made 134 appearances and scored 30 goals for the Gunners. Caitlin Foord, Vivianne Miedema and Noelle Maritz have already extended their contracts recently.

“I’ve really enjoyed the past three seasons, but I’ve still got so much to achieve as part of this club and I’m excited to extend. Being a part of the players and the staff we have, I really feel this is a club going in the right direction.” said Beattie for arsenal.com.
