Jen Beattie signs a new deal with Arsenal

Jen Beattie signs a new deal with Arsenal and will play for the Gunners also in the next season.

The 32-year-old rejoined Arsenal in 2019 after having previously played in London between 2009 and 2013. Throught her career, the English defender also played for Celtic, Montpellier, Manchester City and Melbourne City. In total, Beattie has 157 matches and 32 goals for Arsenal under her belt. At international level, she has almost 150 for Scotland.

“I’m so happy to have signed a new contract. I’m happy here. I love the club. I love the group of people I work with – the players, the staff, everybody behind the team. The way the club has progressed over the last few seasons has been great to see and it was amazing to lift a trophy again last season and achieve that level of success as a team,” said Beattie, joining Caitlin Foord, Steph Catley, Frida Maanum and Lia Walti.
