Jens Scheuer takes over Brighton & Hove Albion

Jens Scheuer takes over Brighton & Hove Albion on a three-and-a-half-year contract after the departure of Hope Powell back at the end of October.

The 44-year-old coached FC Bayern München most recently, but left Bavaria in May. The German coach managed to return the Frauen Bundesliga title to Munich in 2021, when the Bavarians also reached Women’s Champions League semi-final. Previously, he was also in charge at Freiburg. Brighton & Hove Albion will be his first experience in the Women’s Super League.

“It’s a great feeling, I’m very excited to work for the team and the club. The facilities are the best I have ever seen. I’m very excited for the future and can’t wait to get started,” said Scheuer.
