Jessica Ziu joins West Ham in the summer from the Irish side, Shelbourne. The club did not disclose the duration of the contract.
The 19-year-old will stay with her childhood club, Shelbourne, until the end of the season before making a move to London in the summer. The Irish midfielder debuted in the top flight of Irish women’s football at the age of 16 and has scored 19 goals in 56 appearances since. Despite her youth, Ziu already has 8 caps for the Irish international team on her tally.
“I’m so excited to be joining West Ham United. It’s a proud moment for me and my family. I’ve been playing football since I was four-years-old, and my goal has always been to become professional,” said Ziu for the club’s website.
