Jonas Eidevall appointed new Arsenal coach, following departure of Joe Montemurro. He joins the Gunners from Swedish side, Rösengard.
After Joe Montemurro took on a new challenge as Juventus coach, the 38-year-old Eidevall was announced as a new Arsenal coach. He led Mälmo’s club to the quarter-final of Women’s Champions League in the last season. In 2013 and 2014, Rosengard became back-to-back Swedish champion under his guidance. After a brief spell in men’s football, Eidevall returned to Rosengard and won another title in 2019.

“I feel honoured to be taking this role. Arsenal have a rich history, more successful than any other women’s team in England. I want to add to these honours. It’s super important that we win, and we will be very ambitious about that, but it’s even more important that we live the values and defend the club badge on a day-to-day basis. I cannot wait to do that at Arsenal,” Eidevall said.
