Julie Blakstad signs for Manchester City

Julie Blakstad signs for Manchester City, joining them from Norwegian team, Rosenborg. She signed a two-and-a-half-year.

The 20-year-old is one of the biggest Norwegian talents. After making first football steps with Ottestad, she soon moved to FL Fart. Rosenborg noticed her talent and added her to the squad in 2020. Since then, Blakstad played 35 matches and scored 17 goals. In 2020, she has already debuted for the Norwegian national team despite her young age. Manchester City will be her first stop abroad.

“It’s amazing to be a Manchester City player and I can’t wait to get started. Everybody has been amazing so far, and I’m so excited to meet my teammates. At this point in my career, it’s important to take a new step to develop myself further and I believe this is the best place for me to do that,” said Blakstad.
