Katerina Svitkova signs for Chelsea

Katerina Svitkova signs for Chelsea, joining the Blues from West Ham United. She signed a three-year contract, until June 2025.
The 26-year-old has spent most of her career in her native Czech Republic, playing for Slavia Prague. In 2020, the international midfielder arrived to England, when she signed for the Hammers. During two seasons in London, 4-time winner of Czech Footballer of the Year award, played 34 matches and scored five goals.
“I am living my dream! I have wanted to play for this club my whole life having supported the team since childhood and I really appreciate this exciting opportunity. Chelsea is a huge club with amazing history for both the men’s and women’s teams. They have the best players and coaches and I can’t wait to meet everyone,” said Svitkova.
