Kristie Mewis joins West Ham

Kristie Mewis joins West Ham United from the American side, NJ/NY Gotham FC.

The 32-year-old spent the majority of her career in the States, apart from short spells with Canberra United in Australia, Iga FC Kunoichi in Japan and FC Bayern in Germany. Most recently, the American international midfielder, with over 50 caps, played for Gotham with which she won NWSL title in the last season.

“I am delighted to be joining West Ham United. I have always wanted to play in the Women’s Super League and now that everything has fallen into place, it feels like a dream come true,” said Mewis.
