Laura Wienroither signs for Arsenal

Laura Wienroither signs for Arsenal from TSG Hoffenheim. As usual, the Gunners did not disclose the duration of the contract.

The 23-year-old played for a different Austrian club before making a switch over the border and signed for Hoffenheim. After playing for the second team at the beginning, the Austrian defender established herself as a regular in the senior team and played all 22 matches in the last season.

“It’s an incredible feeling for me. I’m really happy to be here and to have the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to being with the team. When I first heard about Arsenal’s interest I couldn’t believe it, and I still can’t believe it,” Wienroither told www.arsenal.com.

Stina Blackstenius has already joined the Gunners in the current transfer window.
