Leah Williamson pens a new deal with Arsenal, who did not disclose the duration of the contract.

The 24-year-old child of Arsenal has been with the club for her whole career. She arrived to London at 9 years of age, rose through academy ranks and debuted for the senior team in 2014. Until today, the English defender made 179 appearances and scored 13 goals for the Gunners. She won the Women’s Super League in 2018/19, two League cups and two FA Cups. In the current season, Arsenal are on the top of the standings after incomplete 11 match days, despite a surprise defeat last week.

It’s a dream come true. It was a dream come true the first time that I signed here, and the feeling hasn’t changed. I’m as grateful as ever to have the opportunity to do what I do here – at home – and I’m very proud to continue to represent my family playing for Arsenal and to wear the badge,” said Williamson for www.arsenal.com
