Leicester City extends with coach Lydia Bedford

Leicester City extends with coach Lydia Bedford, who signs a new contract, that will keep her in the club until 2024.
The 34-year-old coach took over Leicester last November, when she replaced Jonathan Morgan on the Foxes’ bench. In the Leicester debut season among the Women’s Super League elite, Bedford managed to avoid relegation with her team, finishing on the 11th position, which was enough for the board to offer her contract extension.
“I have enjoyed every moment of my time at Leicester so far and I’m grateful to the Club for their continued support and belief in what we’re trying to achieve. This is an exciting place to be right now, as the Club continues its investment in the women’s game. I am looking forward to the season starting and believe we are creating an environment that allows players to thrive,” said Bedford.
