Leila Ouahabi signs for Manchester City from FC Barcelona. She signed a two-year contract with the Manchester club.
The 29-year-old grew up in La Masia and became a first team player in 2011/12 season. Due to lack of playing time, the Spanish wing-back joined Valencia in 2013. After three seasons, Ouhabi returned to Blaugrana. With over 100 games played in Barcelona’s shirt and 46 caps for the Spanish national team, Ouahabi is one of the best Spanish wing-backs. She is the second summer arrival, after Deyna Castellanos.
“I was looking forward to this moment and I am really happy now it is all done. Manchester City have always been a team that caught my eye. I like their style of football so much and the DNA of the Club is very exciting,” added Ouhabi.
