Lia Walti renews with Arsenal

Lia Walti renews with Arsenal for an undisclosed duration.

The 30-year-old played in her native Switzerland before moving abroad and joining Turbine Potsdam in 2013. After five years in Frauen Bundesliga, the Swiss midfielder joined Arsenal in 2018. Since then, Walti made 129 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions and was part of the Women’s Super League winning team in the 2018/19 season. She also has over 100 caps on her tally for the Swiss national team.

“It’s special moment for me to commit my future to Arsenal and I’m very happy and excited. Arsenal means so much to me – it felt like home from the moment I joined and over the years I’ve built such a strong bond with this club and the community around it,” said Walti for arsenal.com.
