Lina Hurtig transfers to Arsenal

Lina Hurtig transfers to Arsenal from Juventus for a 100k fee, according to media reports.

The 26-year-old played for Umeå IK and Linkopings in her homeland of Sweden before making a move to Italy and signing with Bianconere in 2020. During her time in Turin, the Swedish forward won two Serie A titles and one Coppa Italia. In total, Hurtig played just over 50 matches and scored 16 goals for Juventus. On the international stage, she is a regular in the Swedish national team, with 58 caps and 19 goals on her tally so far.

“It feels so great – I’m very happy to be here. I’ve always, always wanted to play in England, and I’ve always been interested in English football, so it’s super exciting for me to be here. I know Arsenal are a great club, with great players and lots of quality, so I think I will enjoy it here,” said Hurtig for arsenal.com. The Gunners also signed Kaylan Marckese during the current transfer window.
