Lotte Wubben-Moy extends with Arsenal

Lotte Wubben-Moy extends with Arsenal. The club also announced that Tobin Heath is leaving the Gunners following a mutual contract termination.
The 23-year-old Wubben-Moy has already played for Arsenal in the youth categories. In 2017, she moved to the US to play college football for North Carolina Tar Heels. In 2020, the English defender returned to London and signed a professional contract with the Gunners. In total, Wubben-Moy made 61 appearances and scored five goals.
“It feels amazing. This contract means so much more to me and to my family than just it being a football contract. It’s a commitment to the club and it’s a commitment to Arsenal, the community that it’s active in and to my life as a whole, because that’s what Arsenal is – it’s my life,” said Wubben-Moy.
Tobin Heath’s contract was expiring at the end of the season. Since the 33-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in training last week, the parties decided to terminate the contract and allow the American midfielder to return to the United States early. She played 18 matches and scored 3 goals for the Gunners.
