Lucía García joins Manchester United

Lucía García joins Manchester United from the Spanish side, Athletic Club. She signed a two-year contract with the club.

The 24-year-old played for Oviedo Moderno before moving to Athletic Bilbao where she spent the last six years. The Spanish forward made a total of 161 appearances and scored 63 goals for the Basque Country club. Garcia is already fifth summer arrival for the Reds, joining Maya Le Tissier, Grace Clinton, Rachel Williams and Adriana Leon.

“The fact that a club the size of Manchester United has put their faith in me is a dream come true. I already feel very much at home here. There’s a great family atmosphere at the club, which is the exact environment in which I thrive. I will give everything I have on the field to make our fans proud, and hopefully score a few goals as well,” said Garcia.
