Lucy Parker joins Aston Villa

Lucy Parker joins Aston Villa from a fellow WSL side, West Ham. She signed a two-year contract, with an option for an additional year.

The 24-year-old returned to England in 2021 after playing graduating and playing college football in the US. During her two-year stay with the Hammers, the English defender played 39 matches and scored two goals. Parker, who already received her first international called-up but is yet to make an appearances, become first summer arrival for Villa.

“It feels really good and I am excited for the challenge. I think the biggest think for me was the big ambitions of the club,” said Parker.
