Lucy Parker joins West Ham

Lucy Parker joins West Ham United from Kansas City.

The 22-year-old spent most of her career in the United States, where she played college football. In January, Kansas City picked her as a 16th pick in NWSL draft, but the English defender decided to return home to London. Before leaving for the US, Parker was part of Arsenal academy, but will move across town now to join the Hammers.

“It’s good to be able to come back to England and play in the top division, I couldn’t ask for a better opportunity. The experience that I’ve had over in the states has been a good one, I’ve grown up away from football and was a fantastic life experience. I grew up here, I’m English so this style of football is in my blood so I’m hoping to be able to adapt quickly,” said Parker for whufc.com
