Maren Mjelde out for the rest of the season

Maren Mjelde out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the Conti Cup final against Bristol City.

Mjelde had to be carried off on a stretcher and taken to hospital following the collision with Aimee Palmer on Sunday. The 31-year-old, that recently extended her contract with Chelsea, shared on Twitter that the injury was not as bad as it first seemed and will hopefully return to team’s training in the summer.
