Matilda Vinberg joins Tottenham

Matilda Vinberg joins Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer, following her contract expiration with Hammarby IF.

The 20-year-old moves abroad for the first time in her career, after having previously played for Enskede IK and Hammarby in her native Sweden. The talented midfielder, who already debuted for the Swedish national team, played over 100 matches in Allsvenskan and was part of the winning squad in the last season. Vinberg signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Spurs.

“It feels amazing to finally be here. I’ve always dreamt about playing in England in this league. I felt really excited and ready to do this,” said Vinberg.
