Melanie Leupolz pens a new deal with Chelsea that will keep her in London at least until June 2026.
The 28-year-old started her senior career with Freiburg. She moved to a Bundesliga fellow side, FC Bayern, in 2014. After six seasons in the Bavarian capital, the German midfielder joined Chelsea in 2020. Leupolz, who also has over 70 caps for the German national team, is returning to the trainings after maternity leave.
“I played the first one-and-a-half years and it feels like I’m not done here, which is why I wanted to extend. I want more games with the team, more chances to win titles and one big ambition is to win the Champions League,” added Leupolz.
