Melissa Phillips takes over Brighton & Hove Albion

Melissa Phillips takes over Brighton & Hove Albion after departure of Jens Scheuer. She signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The 35-year-old coach already has some experience from the English football from her time at London City Lionesses. The American also coached Angel City, University of Pennsylvania, University of San Francisco and California State Bakersfield in her career. The Seagulls will be her first experience in the Women’s Super League.

“I’m excited to be here and eager to get started. It’s an amazing feeling to join this club and I’m looking forward to working with the team,” said Phillips.
