Niamh Fahey extends with Liverpool and will continue at the Merseyside also in the next season.
The 34-year-old signed for the Reds in 2018 from Bordeaux. Former Chelsea and Arsenal player, made 23 appearances in the last season and was one of the key players in Liverpool’s Championship campaign to secure promotion to the Women’s Super League. The Irish midfielder, who captains Liverpool’s team, has over 100 caps for her country.
“It’s brilliant, I’m so excited for the year ahead and I’m delighted to extend my stay. Getting to lift the trophy last season with this group of girls and staff, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. It wasn’t even a decision,” added Fahey for liverpoolfc.com.
The Reds also extended recently with Rachael Laws, Leighanne Robe and Melissa Lawley.
