Nicky Evrard moves to Chelsea in the summer from a Belgian side, OH Leuven. She penned a three-year contract with the Blues.
The 27-year-old has spent the majority of her career in Belgium with Gent. After brief spells with Twente and Sporting Huelva, Evrard returned to Belgium in 2020. Last year, the Belgium international goalkeeper signed for Leuven, for which she made 20 appearances. In the international stage, Evrard has 61 caps for the national team.
“It’s really crazy, dreams do come true. I’m really happy, excited and honoured to play for a big club like Chelsea. I follow the women’s games, I watch the competition in England, and it’s always fun to watch the Chelsea games,” said Evrard.
