Ramona Petzelberger signs for Tottenham

Ramona Petzelberger signs for Tottenham Hotspur from a rival WSL side, Aston Villa. She signed a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old has spent most of her career in the Frauen Bundesliga, where she played for SG Wattenschied 09,Bad Neuenahr, Bayer Leverkusen, and SGS Essen. In 2020, the German midfielder made a switch to the Women’s Super League and signed for Aston Villa. Up to date, Petzelberger played 30 matches and scored six goals in the English top flight.

“I feel great to be here at this big club. I’m really looking forward to it, I look forward to meeting the team and staff. I want to take a next step, I think this is a great fit because I want to play in the Champions League with the Spurs,” said Petzelberger, who is Tottenham’s second summer signing, after Ellie Brazil.
