Rebekah Stott rejoins Brighton & Hove

Rebekah Stott rejoins Brighton & Hove Albion after successful cancer recovery. She signed a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old joined Brighton in 2020, but was diagnosed with cancer after just 8 appearances. She returned to Australia to complete her treatment. After getting back on track, the New Zealand international, with over 80 caps, played for Melbourne City and Bulleen Lions in the land down under. Stott is now set to return to the Women’s Super League.

“It was definitely the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life. A lot of ups and a lot of downs, probably more downs, but I had a lot of support and I got through it and here I am now, a year later. I am healthy again,” said Stott.
